Pallets and commercial waste blocking pedestrian pavement

Reported via iOS in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 03:29, Sunday 11 January 2026

Sent to Enfield Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8664227.

Multiple businesses along this road are repeatedly leaving wooden pallets and commercial waste on the public pavement, causing obstruction to pedestrians.

As shown in the attached photos, pallets are being stored directly on the pedestrian walkway against the building frontage. This forces pedestrians to step into the road, creating a safety risk—particularly at night and for vulnerable users such as wheelchair users, parents with prams, and the elderly.

This is not an isolated incident. The issue appears ongoing and is caused by businesses using the public footway as free storage rather than arranging proper collection or on-site storage.

This area has already suffered from repeated misuse by commercial operators, and residents should not have to tolerate pavements being treated as private loading bays.

I am requesting enforcement action and that the responsible businesses be instructed to remove the pallets immediately and stop using the pavement for storage.
