Zebra crossing Leighton road Toddington

Reported via mobile in the Zebra Crossing Fault category anonymously at 10:58, Saturday 10 May 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 422792.

These 4 potholes have been here for 5 months now and have got worse. I almost fell over today trying to cross. There's 4 big areas of potholes which need sorting and if anything the whole of the zebra crossing needs renewing. It's very dangerous to lift and limb. It can't be used as a crossing because of the dangers. There's a lot of elderly people in the area with mobility issues and this is definitely not safe. Any injuries sustained by people if they fall I would highly recommend they contact a solicitor for compensation in the law courts. This was also reported back in January this year but yet again central Bedfordshire council have ignored this issue. Get it done asap or people will see you in court. Stop burying your heads in the sand. Yes it costs money but it would cost you far more money for a legal claim.
