Car caught fire here c. 4 weeks ago and the heat caused the tarmac to melt / form a dangerous ridge

Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 20:57, Wed 6 December 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5290410.

Approximately 4-6 weeks ago a car caught fire here, and the fire service came and put out the fire, however once the vehicle was removed, it was clear that the heat from the fire had melted the tarmac, causing it to form a significant raised ridge in the roadway, with metal and other debris from the fire embedded in the deformed surface.
