  • Still not fixed and destroyed my nearside tyre last night driving down Longwood Lane. Will need my car recovered and repaired today. Come on BANES, this is so dangerous.

  • My daughter has had a scary drive home in the dark when her tyre has popped after hitting this pothole tonight. Unavoidable and not ok. This road is not safe to drive on, particularly at night. How do I request the cost of a replacement tyre from the council?

  • These pot holes caused a blowout of our front tyre at 1730hrs, 2nd Dec 22. The pothole is in the usual path of a car, not off to the side. The potholes are unseen and unavoidable at the narrow part of the lane. Returning today it looks like someone has tried to fill the holes with bricks and gravel.

  • I filled the holes with flat stones and gravel. Was too dangerous to leave in the condition it was in. This is a real hazard to drivers and cyclists. The gravel will probably wash away following the first rainstorm but if it saves just a few peoples tyres in the meantime it’s £2.50 we’ll spent!
