Pothole
Reported via iOS in the Road Defect category anonymously at 04:45, Sun 2 October 2022
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3861818.
Pothole at end of Furzefield Close on Willow Grove. This deep water covered pothole has damaged my rear tyre inner sidewall and caused an immediate blowout. I notice there are a few reports of this issue, how do I proceed to claim for the damage to my tyre?

In the first instance, I would recommend you contact the Insurance Department at Bromley Council (contact details on the council’s website) since they are the statutory highways authority and have a duty to maintain the public highway in a safe condition. Given the proximate cause of the damage was caused by the Thames Water leak they may refer you to Thames Water, but in the first instance I would lodge a claim against Bromley Council, given their responsibility.
