These large elongated fissures have been opening up along the length of the Denchworth Road, between the railway bridge and the edge of Grove itself, for at least 3 months. Much of the road surface is becoming very vertically misaligned along the stretch too, so more will open up soon. Only recently, they have sped up and they are extremely dangerous for cyclists because if you get one of your wheels stuck in one, it would bring you off your bike. Due to their position, they are very difficult to avoid when there is a car coming and it will not be long before someone is seriously injured. They are getting wider every week (we bike down here at least 3 times a week) and given this road's susceptibility to sheet ice (I came off my bike in February due to this), the winter weather will only speed this widening up. They need to be fixed before they get any worse. Thank you.
