Japanese Knotweed at Bath City Farm
Reported via desktop in the Overgrown vegetation in Council parks and green spaces category anonymously at 09:15, Wed 28 September 2022 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3853810.
I'm contacting from Bath City Farm, a charity based in the Twerton / Whiteway neighbourhood of Bath. We rent our site from BANES Council.
A small amount of Japanese knotweed has been identified on the site in the wooded area. It's in a hard to get to location, so it unclear how it got there. We obviously want to deal with it as early as possible to prevent it becoming a bigger programme. I know the Council offer a Japanese knotweed service. Is this something that might be free to us as a charity and Council tenant? Can you help?

We have resolved this issue. If this issue reoccurs please log a new report. C&G attended, we searched the entire wooded area and were unable to locate any knotweed. There are some similar looking plants like hazel saplings and dogwood so it maybe the knotweed was mis-identified?..we will close this report but if it’s possible to take pictures and/or add an accurate location using the ‘what 3 words’ app, please feel free to open another report.
