Carriageway and footway flooding at Zebra Crossing on Halfway St
Reported via desktop in the Blocked rainwater gulleys category anonymously at 13:01, Thu 25 August 2022
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3780213.
Extensive carriageway and footway flooding on Halfway St at zebra crossing near Days Lane junction. This fault has persisted for OVER FOUR YEARS without resolution. The gullies in the carriageway and footway are obviously blocked deep down beyond the reach of the standard gully cleaning service vehicles. Could Bexley council please investigate and clear the blockage.
BEXLEY COUNCIL CLOSED THE PREVIOUS REPORT ON 24-08-22 THAT HAD BEEN SUBMITTED ON 24-5-22 WITH THE FOLLOWING NOTE; "The report has been inspected by a member of the Highways Team. There will be no further action due to one of the following:
The issue does not meet the guidelines for repair at the moment.
The issue will be fixed as part of our normal maintenance programme.
We have already fixed this issue.
Thank you for reporting this matter.
State changed to: No further action"
It is obvious from the continued flooding and the vegetation growing out of the footway gully that no action has been taken to fix this problem. Do I have to ask the local Councillors to investigate?

The flooding still takes place and makes the crossing and pavement unusable. I fail to understand how this has gone on for so long with nothing being done to remedy the situation.
