Engine idling 49 minutes plus blaring music

Reported via desktop in the Engine idling category anonymously at 15:30, Tuesday 16 August 2022 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Westminster City Council less than a minute later

Automobile Association flatbed truck arrived 7.10am, drove to the northern, closed, end of Lumley Street London W1K, and parked for 49 minutes, with the engine running. The loud music was switched on part way through this parking session. Lumley Street is in the ULEZ, it is a residential street. In the hot weather residents need to have windows open at night and early mornings to let the relatively cooler air into their homes. They do not need exhaust fumes and blaring music. There are semi-basement flats in Lumley Street, including some where young children live. Vehicle exhaust fumes often sink downwards, so are more dense where the basement flats are. This location also serves as a deliveries bay for Adidas store after 8am, so residents do not need idling vehicles on top of the stream of deliveries & servicing vehicles.
