Crab apple tree outside no. 34/36 Sandy Ridge

Reported via desktop in the Tree Planting Request category anonymously at 20:39, Friday 5 August 2022 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

This crab apple tree is very old and is causing a problem every summertime with crab apples falling in the road and on the pavement. Last weekend I swept them all up in the road and on the pavement as it not only looks unsightly but is a slipping hazard for residents. Young trees have been planted on the grass verges in Sandy Ridge so I would ask if this tree could be removed and a new tree planted.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. A job is raised to have the tree removed due to cavity in main stem and for the stump to be ground out. A replacement will be planted next planting season starting in November running through to March 2023.
