Tree in pavement needs replacing outside 147 Eden Way

I reported to you a long time ago now that the tree in the pavement outside my house had fallen over for the second time as on both occasions the supporting stake had been removed by council workers even though the tree was not rooted sufficiently. A worker came round and examined the tree and said that it was diseased and cut it down leaving the stump as shown in the attached photo. This was at least 18 months ago and the tree has not been replaced or the stump removed leaving me to believe that the tree worker did not report his findings to the council. Please arrange to have the tree replaced as soon as possible as the stump is unsightly and I have seen quite a few people hit their car door on it as the stump is below car door window level. I think it is very important that trees are replaced as they are so beneficial to the environment. Thank you.

The old tree stump has been removed and a wooden stake for a new tree has been installed, but as yet there has not been a replacement tree planted.

A replacement is on the planting schedule 2022/23 and in hand to be planted next planting season starting in November running through to March 2023. Please note we only plant trees (broadleaves) in their dormant state in the winter months so not to induce undue stress to the trees which would hinder successful establishment into the environment.
