4 foot square tarmac patch covering site of removed tree has subsided again. The pavement is uneven and dangerous to pedestrians

A large tree was removed from the pathway outside the house 2 + years ago and the tarmac patch has subsided for a 2nd year running due to root shrinkage probably.

This problem has not been resolved and the tarmac area continues to subside creating a growing hazard on the public pathway. Some whit markers have been drawn on the perimeter of the square ?by the council but no communication and no sign of any remedial work.
