High Street Keynsham
Reported via desktop in the Faded road markings category by Michael Evans, Cllr at 20:49, Sunday 17 July 2022
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later
There is a kerb between the pavement and the cycle lane in this relatively new arrangement at Keynsham High Street. I am 76 years old; I tripped and nearly fell here on Thursday 14th July 2022. Walking back along the High Street, I saw two other people stumble and nearly fall for the same reason. The kerb is unexpected and unmarked. It simply needs painting white in my opinion. Similar kerbs in Bath do not seem to cause such a problem, but the fact that this one is dangerous cannot be gainsaid, experience proves it.
Thank you for this report. We will review the details and carry out an inspection of the site if required.

I think residents would be grateful for a line of white paint on the edge of the kerb, but it seems to be very difficult to get this done.
