Hello We live in Perrymead at Foxhill Lodge at the top of Foxhill Lane. Last week a new light replaced an exiting street light at the bottom of our lane. The signage that was on the original lamp post was taken down and not replaced. One sign indicated that the road was a dead end and the other said Access only to Foxhill Lodge. As these signs are no longer there, we have seen a huge increase in traffic coming up the road and all of it has to turn on our land to back down the lane or reverse down a steep, single track road. This is particularly challenging for bigger delivery vans and is causing damage to our wall and the surrounding trees and foliage.

Please can you confirm when signage will be returned? Many thanks in advance. Sally Whitworth

  • We have not heard anything or seen a change. Traffic continues to come up the road and even confident drivers would find it hard to reverse back down this road easily as it is single track with a high path edge. As our wall has now been broken by some of the traffic this must mean that some vehicles are also being damaged when they get stuck up here. The signs that were removed said: Access only to Foxhill Lodge and the No through road. Both of these signs were removed and not replaced.

  • We’ve recently performed a cleansing exercise in our system to close down all outstanding jobs that were completed some time ago. This closure is for reference only and you do not need to do anything’
