Pavement sink causing noise pollution
Reported via desktop in the Road, Pavement and PROW Issues category anonymously at 23:31, Wed 17 November 2021 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later
Raising another complain here on the same issue that’s been directed to Thames Water. Noisy manhole on the intersection of the Southend Lane and the Avenue/Copers Cope.
I believe the issue should be handled by the Bromley Council, as it’s not the manhole cover causing the noise. It is not damaged, it's the road that has sunk right next to it. The works were done on the road by Bromley council over summer. Doesn’t look like the tarmac settled perfectly as the road is now faulty. This is evident in the picture attached. Contractor from Thames Water was out on site on Monday afternoon. Manhole cover is not broken. Noise is due to Cars hitting manhole at an angle due to Bromley Council road defect. This is frustrating and a danger to our health as none of us can sleep at night due to noise. Contractor from Thames Water was on site on Monday and confirmed the same. Moreover Thames Water only accepts faults where there is a W or Thames Water on the manhole. That is not the case here. This is a roadwork fault. Please help. Thanks,

Hello! The noise is back. Temporary measures didn’t fix the issue. Not sure if the works were completed on February 17th as there was no follow up.
