Temporary banner causing blindspot when trying to pull out onto the A417 at Ardington Wick crossroads
Reported via desktop in the Road Markings category anonymously at 20:08, Mon 11 October 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3056316.
Someone has placed an advertising banner for the firework display at Ardington Sports Field on the 6th November at this crossroads, and it is causing a momentary blindspot when trying to see what traffic is coming from the Hendred direction toward Wantage. At peak times this road is very difficult to navigate onto, without this added obstruction making it even more difficult.
I don't want to be a killjoy or anything, but surely someone should have had the common sense to place the banner further back off the main road so that people can safely see to pull out. I'm sure the banner could still be clearly seen if it was placed back a few feet toward the field and not at the road side.
Thank you.

Sign gone now. Can clearly see traffic coming from the Hendred direction toward Wantage once again as you approach the junction. If only people gave it some thought for a couple of seconds before putting things like this a banner up at the roadside, then this wouldn't have been an issue.
