Yellow lines need repainting...and restrictions need enforcing
Reported via desktop in the Road, Pavement and PROW Issues category anonymously at 01:28, Mon 27 September 2021
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3026415.
Manor Park Road is frequently ‘grid-locked’ around school pick-up time (15:00 - 15:45) due to illegal(?) parking. This includes parking on the foot way and over double yellow lines which results in bottle-necks and lack of passing places. There have also been incidences of ‘road rage’ and contact between vehicles. It doesn’t help that the yellow lines have faded.
Existing double yellow lines at the junctions with The Glebe and also Church Lane need repainting. Ideally this should then be followed by enforcement action regarding the restrictions to improve traffic flow.

Walking around the area, almost all yellow lines need repainting. This includes other parts of Manor Park Road, the slip road in front of St. Nicholas Church, Hawkwood Lane, Morley Road, Crown Lane, School Road, Church Row and Church Lane (especially around the junction with Royal Parade/St. Paul’s Cray Road).

We ask that new and separate occurrences /locations of issues are logged as new reports to avoid conflicting information or updates and ensure the information is passed promptly to our teams and contractors. Please log the issue via https://fix.bromley.gov.uk as a new report using the map marker and description to detail where the issue is located. Please note that if the location you wish to mark is already occupied by a pin, you can hide the map pins via the button in the bottom left or you can click a nearby free section of the map to drop your green reporting pin so that all other yellow pins indicating existing reports disappear, you can then click and drag your green pin to the correct location and continue submitting your report.

The Council’s response to the original report was that the work to repaint faded yellow lines would be completed during October 2021. It wasn’t, and as of 16/03/2022 it still has not been done.
