Beaconsfield Road entrance to Elmstead Woods.

Can you please place a dog poo bin at the Beaconsfield Road entrance to Elmstead Woods. The current open top litter bin is completely useless, as the birds drag the dog poo bags and litter all over the pavement and Woods entrance. It is also encouraging fly tipping with people leaving household waste next to the bin, as soon as it is emptied it is filled again straight away. A better option would be to place a covered litter bin on the lamp post at the entrance and a poo bin. There are many dog walkers who use this entrance.

  • This report has clearly not been fixed as stated. Where is the covered bin? Where is the dog poo bin?

  • Thank you for your update, at the time of inspection the bins, both parks bin and highways bin had been emptied, litter was evident and the Neighbourhood Officer contacted the Street Cleansing Contractor to re-attend.

We will look into changing the parks bin to a dog poo bin, this request will be passed to our Parks & Greenspace Contractor. Please bear with us.

    Many thanks, NM. 06.10.2021.
