  • This problem was reported on September, it is getting worse and vehicles are continually taking avoiding action to try and miss the worst of the subsiding trench.

  • I drove through this trench on 5th January 2022. It has still not been fixed, despite being reported as long ago as 4th September 2021 - FOUR MONTHS! Ironically, it is located just a few metres before a speed camera, that bastion of ensuring safer roads (/sarcasm). In my view, no highways authority that fails to act when dangerous and damaging (to vehicles) road surfaces are reported has any moral right to be part of its area road safety partnership. Oxfordshire County Council highways department: this is yet another example of your failure to do the job for which you readily accept taxpayers’ cash. Can we expect the resignation of your departmental director (the officer, not the councillor)?

  • The trench is definitely getting deeper. It will only be a matter of time before someone makes a claim.

These trenches have been repaired before??
