Private contractors creating a dropped kerb
Reported via desktop in the Highway Enforcement category anonymously at 10:46, Fri 13 August 2021 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later
A driveway has been created and the private (non-LBB) are now constructing a dropped kerb. It is unlikely that planning permission has been sort or permission given for the dropped kerb

Apologise for the delay in completing this enquiry , measure are still in progress for the crossover to be completed correctly by LBB approved contractor, and is still going though the normal procedure of a Vehicle crossover application. The resident has been spoken to and if does not follow the agreement I have had with him, enforcement measures will proceed , at present i am awaiting the application to be returned to me as of normal procedure. once received the planning to completion, will proceed.

Contractors seemingly worked on the dropped kerb, but actually did nothing. The dropped kerb and block paved pavement remain, as does the driveway. With a total lack of consequences, I would think all other homeowners with the same issues feel entitled to do the same and flout restrictions!

I attach photos taken from the job raised 557195 which clearly shows the pattern before and after completion, confirming that the contractors have replaced the blocks to an approved LBB block. The completed photo is different and does not support the reporter's comments. The old blocks would have had to be lifted and replaced to achieve the 90 degree specification. I have visited the site and cannot see any quality issues and will carry out the required inspections over the 2 year guarantee period. In conclusion, the comments posted on 8th February are not consistent with my findings and I request this enquiry to be closed as resolved.
