Excessive Traffic / Noise / Danger
Reported via mobile in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 12:15, Tue 4 May 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2705697.
Although feedback update was greatly appreciated, your proposal/solution suggestion addressed cycle & pathways.
Rose Hill Road/Littlemore Road to the roundabout is a major road, NOT safe, or suitable for use of cycle lanes, or pedestrians. The vehicle traffic is far too heavy, & excessive speeding up to said major intersection of the roundabout. This particular area is not one for minor updates to address the issues at hand. There are, and continue to be, vehicle accidents, crossing bollards destroyed, and actual accidental deaths occurring both by vehicles on the road, and pedestrians being hit.
This location is on the outskirts of the City Center. Your update appears to be referencing/identifying the City Center, not the major surrounding access road(s).
Also, it would help if responses are less technical, or in need of ones deciphering, to really understand the basics of a response to a reported issue.
Note: The original report was identifying excessive traffic issue from Rose Hill (Parade shops)/Littlemore Road, up to the major roundabout. Suggesting an out road at Rose Hill Oval towards the major shopping area. Poor planning when the Rose Hill Oval area was developed, & continuous housing developments enclosed the area, hence, boxing ones self in.
Your adfitional feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your report. We have assessed it and found that it does not currently meet the criteria for intervention, so will not be fixing at this time.
Currently within oxfordshire there is traffic calming scheme to reduce speeds, within oxford you might have noticed a lot of zones have changed to 20mph in hopes to reduce speeding and for safety of pedestrians and cyclists. Though in regards to actual speeding offences that is a Thames valley police matter.
And this is dealt with under theunder section 89 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (RTRA 1984). Exceeding the speed limit. This legislation is enforced by Thames Valley Police.
This report is over a year old now and as there been no further follow ups from it. It will now be closed.
