15 April 2021 Property Owner and Person Reporting: MARISSA LAWINGCO Property Address: 45 WILLINTON ROAD KNOWLE, BS4 1HT ISSUE: My property’s backyard has a creek behind just the fence. Currently, have tenants living in the property – a family.
The fence as in the photo is made of cemented blocks, a more sturdy protection. Over the years, this had no problems. Sometime ago, the fence had all fallen to the ground, shown in this picture. I had to get a contractor to redo this fence for me, but it might happen again, despite the fence being redone in wood fence. According to the Estate Agent who oversees my property, the creek – water has been seeping through the ground digging into the underlying soil, which made way to the falling down of the fence. (where my property is located.) My concerns are: 1. Kindly looking into this, as an area of responsibility – creeks and concerns of local areas, of which mine is, please. For a fence made of blocks and cement, this must not be the case – unless there is something underneath the ground/soil – of which I am concern. The building of the fence has been made, but it not of the same quality as the cemented fence (when it was first mortgage since 2006.) I would like to rebuild the fence back to being blocks and cemented as before, as it protects the property to a more sturdy structure. But, before doing this, I would like to refer this issue on the creek to you – it will happen again - ? this year, next year or few years to come. 2. Claiming the costs of rebuilding another fence of which the photo shown was – cemented blocks.
