Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later
Visited Chislehurst Rec playground yesterday with young grandsons. I know the drainage is being looked at but it needs to be speeded up yesterday. Some of the equipment was horrible to use yesterday. The toddler slide had a huge puddle at the end of the slide. The train was muddy. The area from the castle to the bark pit was horrendously muddy and the dip running alongside the path was a quagmire. The path itself to the gate at the Walden Road end was also under mud and water in places.
Other parents and grandparents were incredibly disappointed to see a playground vital for children’s wellbeing in such a state, especially as there are no alternatives nearby.
In December 2019 contractors churned up the playground building the new bark pit and it has never been reinstated despite numerous requests.
