The vegetation overgrowth along this stretch creates conflict and a hazard when cyclists pass pedestrians or each other. It is a shared use path.

  • Overgrowth of vegetation onto the Five Weirs Walk north of Newhall Road has been reported (Feb 2021).

  • The vegetation overgrowth on to Five Weirs Walk east of Newhall Road just gets worse. This needs more clearing than can be done by volunteers. It needs brushcutters etc. It's become very difficult for easy passing of cyclists, pedestrians etc.
