Road sinking .
Reported via mobile in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 15:39, Mon 8 February 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2533982.
This issue has been reported a number of times over the past two years. It would now appear that this section of road is sinking faster and in a larger area. This is espy noticeable after the recent heavy constant rain. This is bow yet another possible hazard for motorcyclist and cyclist , let alone damaging to car tyres and suspension. Please could highways like at this again and indeed the road around this complete roadabout particularly towards the Rise hill exit. The tarmac joins are separating badly creating large deep holes. This is not good for an A road and major artery around this part of Oxford.

This is getting deeper and wider by the week. Before long a large hole will cause major traffic disruption. Come on highways. This has been reported so many times. Like all the other issues on the road surface on this Roundabout, you seem to think a shovel full of tarmac trod down will cure the problem. It won’t. It’s a false economy as before too long it will cost US more and will be a far bigger job.

This is getting deeper and wider by the day . The longer you leave it , the more disruption will be caused when attempting to fix it.

Oxfordshire highways ignoring this is getting silly now! It’s getting far deeper and wider and will cost far more to repair properly. That doesn’t mean a shovel of tarmac trampled down either . This is a major road around the City . These complaints need to be taken seriously. It’s is now dangerous for motorcycle riders too.
