Hi dear council, for the second year now I have been trying to reach to someone to help with the seagulls9attracted to this area by food from Church street market). i contacted many animal welfare companies, noise control in Westminster, animal nuisance department. no one can help. Council had a project in this area to get rid of seagulls, but i received the following: project on Site 1 which was to put two more culls of seagulls was cancelled due to lack of funding. I cannot live like this anymore. Seagulls are really unbearable and have become a nuisance especially during May-September when they are breeding. Many neighbours and people in the area complained about it on the https://nextdoor.co.uk/ site and app. When I have work calls people on the phone think i live in Brighton, not in central London. One lady commented that when she speaks to her mum in Cornwall on the phone, her mum says that we have more seagulls than they have in Cornwall.
There really is an issue with seagulls, the noise is unbearable, they are ravaging though rubbish on the market. I personally was asking fish seller not to feed them, but at the end of the day, when market is closing, seagulls are everywhere.
I would appreciate if this could be looked into, as it really affects my mental health being.
