Repaired pothole needs repairing
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 20:49, Sun 17 January 2021
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2484287.
Case reference No: 40146325. The very poor recent repair to the previous and equally poor repair has not surprisingly failed and itself needs a repair. This is a classic case of not doing the job properly in the first place and the apparent lack of after work inspection. The Thames Water steel inspection cover needs properly re-aligning and lifting to be level with the existing road pavement. In addition the infill repair material also needs to be compacted and level with the existing road pavement and not left in a rut, as with both previous repairs. This pothole is in on the edge of a narrow section of the A355, where parking on one side is allowed and HGVs run very close to the kerb and directly over this area. Consequently it needs a proper and strong repair this time, otherwise it will fail again. The photos were taken on 6 and 15 January.
