Coronavirus and cyclists on pavement

Wellsway is a permitted cycle track on the LHS up hill from city centre. However, at the LH turn off into Midford Road there needs to be yellow markings on pavement to remind cyclists they have no priority and should really dismount if staying on pavement. There is a small sign above 2m high that cyclists do not see on Wellsway just before the LH turn off. It is entirely inadequate. Several times leaving the house I have nearly collided with a cyclist on Midford Road pavement. A sign advising end of cycle track would nudge them to take to the road or dismount. Now with Coronavirus and advice that a 3m distance should be kept between different households the problem is exacerbated. Previously I have suggested cycle track on the St Martins side pavement and I do understand the limitations - junction road crossing at Wellsway/Midford Road, bus stops etc. However, by default the pavement coming up from Wellsway is by default being used as a cycle track and it is not tolerable. As I have pointed out, particularly opposite Kempthorne Lane, many elderly pedestrians use the pavement as live in these dwellings. Please do consider a nice polite pavement painted sign advising cyclists of the end of the cycletrack and advise dismount or priority given to pedestrians, as any remonstrations generally result in aggressive language issuing from ignorant cyclists being challenged in their Coronavirus pelaton wind draft as they wizz by VERY CLOSE. Hopefully you can solve this ongoing problem. Particularly as cycling is set to be preferred mode of transport within the greening of Bath and car evaporation strategy.
