CattleMarket Chipping Norton is a one way street but I have lost count of the number of vehicles who come out of Cattlemarket and turn onto Albion Street or shoot across to Glovers Close turn round and the go back down and either turn left of right or go back across the Cattlemarket. The last one I witness was last Thursday a vehicle came out of the Red Lion car park near the Albion Street end of Cattlemarket and drove up a short way up Cattlemarket towards Albion Street. To be fair the lack of road signs is to blame, there is nothing Albion Street end of Cattlemarket to advise drivers that it's no entry onto Albion Street the one sign the is is Cattlemarket which appears damaged and is only useful if you come out to The Fox Car park. THIS IS A MAJOR ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. Please paint NO ENTRY SIGNS ON the Road next to The Red Lion Pub in Cattlemarket and install 2 Large NO ENTRY SIGNS at the Albion Street end of Cattlemarket. If you are turning left from Albion Street into Cattlemarket you are turning blind and you would not see the vehicle travelling the wrong way out of Cattlemarket onto Albion Street but if you did there could possible be 2 accidents I. Crash with the the vehicle illegally coming the wrong way up Cattlemarket. 2. The vehicle behind you in Albion Street not breaking in time and running into the back of the vehicle turning into Cattlemarket? There is of course pedestrians to consider as well who may be walking up Cattlemarket past the Red Lion Pub towards Albion Street who would take the full impact of any accident in this area. "Please give this request your urgent attention".

I hope you don’t mind me writing to you but we are completely desperate to have someone help us. We are living in a house in Kingham, Oxfordshire, OX7 6YH and every weekend we have people parking either next to our house or opposite the gate. This means that we cannot get our cars out of the driveway. We cannot turn left or right and if there is a car opposite, we cannot turn right or left. We know that one can’t block all the areas, but perhaps you could have a look at our situation and give us some idea of where the white lines may be placed. I would be so grateful for someone contacting me so that we can sort this out. The previous owners put ‘cones’ on the road but to no avail. People simply moved the cones and continued to park there. Thank you in advance.
