Rat run,/excessive kerbside damage
Reported via desktop in the Roads/Highways category by Mr Savash Djemal at 10:52, Thu 22 October 2020
Sent to Lewisham Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2352370.
Brightling Road has for a number of years been a rat run for through traffic from Honor Oak via Stillness & Bexhill to Catford/ladywell and reverse. This residential street gets a greater share of flow than adjacent Rushford Road. Also vehicles up toand including the size of a Fire Engine facing the wrong way will not drive 1 min around the block but will regularly do 2 point turns outside mine & neighbouring propeties damaging the kerbside. I propose Brightling Road be closed to traffic from Manwood Road & be made one way to traffic which would displace 50% of its flow to Rushford Road and at the same time cut out the 3 point turns. The cost of this would just be for a one way & no entry signage.
