Telegraph Path, the alleyway behind Barham Road has an ivy infestation. Our fence is a few years old and already the ivy coming through from the public footpath has buckled, pushed and broken some of the panels. We try to cut it back from our side of the fence but as fast as we cut it, it comes back. It’s getting worse and worse. We can’t physically get behind our shed to cut it back and its now going into our shed!

This is the council’s responsibility as the ivy is coming over from the public footpath. You can see from one of the pictures, even it’s height is getting out of control.

I have seen another neighbour report this recently. Please can this be sorted?

  • It’s been two months since first initially reported and still nothing has been done. Ivy infestation is still rife with even more coming through my fence buckling all the panels.
