E Scooter sign needed on cycle lane
Reported in the Road and Pavement Issues category anonymously at 17:59, Sat 29 August 2020
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2269834.
E scooter users on the shared cycle/pedestrian route are failing to abide by normal UK keep left habit, as cyclists habitually do when passing one another on the shared use pedestrian route along the Poole river between Lennard Road and Kangley Bridge Road. It would help if a scooter sign could be painted beside the cycle signs on the paving to clarify E scooter users are two wheel users, and do not count as pedestrians. One narrowly avoided colliding with a cyclist today, failing to understand the Highway Code as applied to those on wheels.

Same problem again today, this time a teenager on an electric scooter. We need a sign telling people Highway Code rules apply for all wheeled vehicles, ie left hand side, whether on a bicycle or motorised scooter.
