Pavement along A4155 opposite Westhorpe Lane towards Winchbottom Lane
Reported in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 17:51, Thu 9 July 2020 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2193420.
Severely overgrown hedges on shared cycle/foot path mean that you have to go to the very outside of the path to get past putting you right next to fast-moving and heavy traffic, see the photo. One false step or wobble and you will be in the road with potentially fatal consequences. This is a shared path but to pass someone, one of you would have to step into the carriageway. Currently this path is unsafe to use. The hedge has been permitted to grow into the pathway for 2+ years and the path has been narrowed by encroaching soil and vegetation for at least as long. The actual width of the path should be much wider and could be scraped back to restore it as well as cutting the hedge back.
