Serious water leak coming from property.

Sent to Sheffield City Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1926249.
This leak has been going on for months now, it may even be getting on for a year or more? Cant remember when I first saw it. The area is always wet, the pavements are a mess, and the water looks to be flowing and pooling right down to Upwell Lane. I don't care who's responsibility this is, it needs sorting out! Sandbags and a couple of 'Flood' or 'Ice' signs is not dealing with the problem. This is a disgrace! In the unlikely event we get any seriously cold weather, this area could be lethal to both road users and pedestrians. I dare say the residents along here are fed up of it, and I also wonder how many thousands, tens of thousands or maybe millions of gallons of water have been wasted so far??? Can someone just take ownership of this and get it sorted please.

I drove past here yesterday (08-02-2020) and noted that there is still water pouring out of the ground, the council / Amey have though it seems done some work to divert the water into the drains, presumably to stop it from pooling further down the road? I dare say I don't know the full story, but this doesn't look like the best way to deal with the issue..? and I hope they are planning on plugging this leak at some point in the future..? Though who knows, maybe its a natural spring and not a water main after all..?

This is still not fixed. The pavement & road have dried out, as some work seems to have been done to divert the water, but it is still visible pouring out of the ground, saw it only the other day. Cant understand how the cause has not yet been found and dealt with.

Nope. Still not been fixed, but as I have heard, the powers that be have an idea of where its coming from now so I guess that's something, and most of the water is going back into the drains. Mostly. But hey, bigger fish to fry right now eh?!

Went past here week commencing the 25th May 2020 and it appears that the water leak has been stopped! Yay! Lets see if it stays that way...
