Car parking causing serious bottle neck.
Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 16:17, Wed 8 January 2020
Sent to Sheffield City Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1926185.
Parking (probably for NGH) is encroaching further down Herries Road where the road bends. This is a busy road, and at this point, can be a blind corner. Not an issue when it is clear, but with cars parked BOTH sides, either on the road or half & half on the pavement, I think it has become a dangerous pinch point. I think the road signage here permits parking during certain hours? But parking in this area has gotten a lot worse recently. I suspect a lot of people will have lost their door mirrors on this bit of road. Could end up with a serious accident along here at some point. It could do to be double yellows here I think.

We drove through here yesterday day time and it was as bad as ever, you get down to the part where the road bends and there are cars parked out into the road on both sides making the bend blind to traffic either way. Its a very busy road, and I expect there will be an accident sooner or later. Its especially bad as you drive down Herries road and are suddenly faced with a truck coming up for example. This section should be painted out in double yellow lines in my opinion for safety.

Went past here this morning just before 11am and the traffic was greatly restricted at this car parking bottle neck on Herries Road. Wouldn't be surprised if we get an accident here sooner or later. Shame the hospital cant get their act together and get some parking sorted. Either way, I don't think its acceptable to park on both sides of the road here, especially on a bend in the road, it limits your view of what is coming up / down the road until you're right on top of it, and possibly nose to nose with someone in the same situation. Its just common sense to me that this should be made a double yellow line section of road, at least on one side, if not on both where the road bends. But what do I know.

There's still a moderate amount of parking here, especially at peak times, cant tell if anything has been done here or not to be honest, its certainly still a bit of a tight spot though.
