Cars double parking on Mulberry Way
Reported in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 19:06, Wed 11 December 2019
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1884412.
As you can see the in the photos, there is a vehicle that is double parked on the road. This is a regular occurrence and usually there is about 3 vehicles that do it all the way down Mulberry Way. This has been happening since the homes on Mulberry Way were moved in to. This is very dangerous and something needs to be done to sort this problem out as it makes it very difficult to drive on this road and is obstructing a traffic lane.

I don’t think these cars are double parked . The car parking bays are actually private . Therefore not part of the highway . The car is parking on the road , like any other car that parks on a road next to a pavement ? This happens all the time on other roads ?

As you can see in the first photo yes the car is double parked. This has been an ongoing issue for a while. I am perfectly aware there are private bays for the car and I am not talking about those cars, some households obviously have more than one car and are parking their second car next to their first one. It is in the middle of the road therefore making drivers drive on the other side of the road to get round it. It's not normal how these cars are parking down there.

I agree with the second opinion , the car is parked next to what should be treated as the kerb as the parking bays are not part of the road . This car is just like a car parked on any road . A car parked liked this on any road without yellow lines , is a bit of a pain , as you have to stop and let oncoming traffic through ? But not a hazard , otherwise there would be no on street parking allowed . I think the problem here is the parking bays are not the actual road . Therefore cars are not double parking .
