We rarely see street sweepers in St Margaret’s Square, Adelaide Avenue. There are leaves in the wet road and pavements that are extremely slippery underfoot. We would be grateful if the road sweeper seen working regularly on Adelaide Avenue could clear this area if leaves.

Very slippery pavements due to leaf fall and wet weather- this area is rarely if never swept by street cleaners/ with the exception of late summer following the pruning of hedges.

  • The road and pavements in St Margaret’s Square, Adelaide Avenue SE4 1YR are now even more muddy and slippery with rotting leaves, particularly after the recent heavy rains. Please could the road sweepers clear the area before a resident slips resulting in personal injury.

  • Following my recent complaint, this issue has not been fixed. Pathways around St Margaret’s Square, on Adelaide Avenue are still covered in slippery mud and leaves. I have attempted to sweep a pathway to where cars are parked but the area continues to be slippery. It is a serious concern as there are several residents living around around the square who are over the age of 70 years who could slip and cause serious physical injury. Thankyou.
