Faded yellow box
Reported in the Faded road markings category anonymously at 18:26, Tue 22 October 2019
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1815379.
Last week I advised that the yellow box at the A37 junction with Church Road needed to be repainted as it had almost disappeared. Yesterday I received a email saying "we have looked into this issue and no action will be taken. We will continue to monitor this and take future action if required. The report is now closed" Look at the pictures, can you see the yellow box?? Just along the road the 'Keep clear' sign at the junction with A37 and The Witheys was reported as faded on 11th October by Whitchurch Village Council and they were advised on 18th October that 'appropriate action has been scheduled for future works'. Perhaps I need to approach Whitchurch Village Council about the yellow box. I'd like to know why The Witheys 'Keep Clear' faded sign is going to be done but no action is going to be taken to the almost non-existent yellow box at the Church Road junction. We have exactly the same problem as The Witheys junction in that traffic does not keep the junction clear which in turn means residents etc cannot get out of Church Road especially during the morning rush hour, evening rush hour and when Whitchurch Primary School day ends. I doubt if anyone has actually inspected the state of the junction as I find it difficult to understand why its not being repainted. It was originally installed due to the cars and lorries etc stopping across Church Road junction and residents etc. not being able to get out so why is it not being repainted.
