Rubbish permanently kept in the street
Reported in the Street Cleansing category anonymously at 09:30, Thu 5 September 2019 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1756674.
Rubbish is permanently kept in the street by residents on 81A. Please note this is not a collection issue, they do not just leave the rubbish out on a collection day - they just pile it up in the street and it gets blown by wind all over the neighborhood. It's not only disgusting, but also a health hazard. This has been going on for months now.

Thank you for your report, A highway inspection was conducted on 10/09/19 at 14:00pm, we will now take the opportunity to gain contact with the home owner/land owner with regards to the obstruction. Due to the nature of the obstruction (bins & waste) and the fact that its a HMO we need time to educate the customer with regards to their obligation of storing waste, if we removed the obstruction from the highway they will not have anywhere to dispose of their waste which could in turn create a bigger problem. This case has now been forwarded to our neighborhood management team who will liaise with the home owner with regards to this, please allow 14 days, Regards.

The rubbish is now worse than ever. It occupies half the pavement. I watched a couple come out of the house and ignore it. I've also seen the rubbish collectors walk right past, not emptying the bins as they are surrounded by loose rubbish.

This rubbish is now beyond disgusting and considering these messages go back to Sept it’s quite clear that Lewisham really don’t care! The wind blows so much mess down the road and into the traffic our gardens. Why has Lewisham not dealt with this? Please please fix this as it’s totally gross.
