Badly reinstated road surface following road works
Reported in the Road and Pavement Issues category anonymously at 08:07, Wed 28 August 2019
Sent to Bromley Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1746699.
A trench has been dug across the width of the carriageway and then poorly refilled and resurfaced. This causes a significant jolt for a cyclist as the extent of the problem is not visible from any distance. This is dangerous as it is on a road which serves numerous industrial units which are accessed by large HGVs and PSVs on route to there depots. The danger is compounded by this being at the junction with the access road to Lower Sydenham Station. This road had already been identified as being in need of segregated cycling so the authority is fully aware of the danger to cyclists at this location. Please get the contractor to return to the site and repair the road properly.
