Tarmac coming away due to heavy weeds
Reported in the Slabs - Uneven / Damaged / Cracked category anonymously at 07:28, Tue 20 August 2019 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1737798.
There are two large lay-bys in Mill Road. The one next to a long line of conifers (opposite the alleyway that connects to London Road) has many weeds growing through the cracked tarmac that covers the footpath. Residents are trying to cut these back as they got to knee height and became a trip hazard. When you try and pull them away, the tarmac peels off leaving holes along this section which again is another potential hazard.
This issue has become progressively worse over the last summer.
The path would do well with a removal of the damaged footpath and relaid.
Thank you.
