Huge puddle / ditch opposite bus stop on Bristol Rd
Reported in the Potholes & road surface category anonymously at 11:30, Thu 15 August 2019 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1733088.
Since the new houses were built opposite The Witheys on Bristol Rd in Whitchurch Village, there has been a huge pothole where the new house cables were laid and the road not filled in. This huge ditch is right next to the Whitchurch Village bus stop, so when it rains the dip in the road fills with water, meaning everyone at the bus stop stop gets soaked with all the cars and vans ploughing though this huge puddle and spraying a huge amount of water up onto the pavement. It doesn't even have to be severe rain; it fills up even after a small amount of rainfall. When the cable was laid, the tarmac was not filled properly to the road level. This has been the problem for over a year since the new houses behind the bus stop were built.

Hi, I reported this issue in Aug 2019, will there be any response please, as I have spoken daily to people who are also affected by this issue as we try to wait at this bus stop during a very wet Nov and Dec. Thanks.

We have looked into this issue and found it is not the council's responsibility. We have passed this report to the relevant party to take action.
State changed to: not the council's responsibility
