I have tied the leaning post to the garage to stop it from falling into the public thoroughfare, please can you replace the post as son as possible?

Really? The fence only appears to be ok as it is being held upright by string! Its completely rotten at the base and will fall into the lane if the string breaks. Please can you get someone to 'check' again.

How could you have possibly investigated this fence post when in order to see it you HAVE to actually knock on my door to get entry to my garden? I phoned to ask if this fence was the councils and was told it is! At the moment it is still being held up with rope but this clearly is not a permanent fix. Please can this be 'investigated' properly?
