Dead tree

For attn of Hugh Chapman please The tree at the end of The Meadow Chislehurst was planted after much chasing a couple of years ago following the unauthorised felling of the previous tree. It was quite a saga at the time! However, unfortunately the replacement tree has now died. Apparently the watering bag disappeared a while ago. The person who saw this had assumed it was taken by a member of the public (it had previously been slashed, either deliberately or stupidly - perhaps someone didn't realise the water bag releases water very slowly over a long period?). However, they noticed the ties to the posts had been adjusted, so perhaps this was the contractor taking the bag away? Either way, continuing to water it without a water bag has been a mammoth and obviously fruitless task! Please confirm a replacement tree asap - presumably next planting season? This also raises concern about ongoing maintenance of new trees. Thanks
