Old council entrance to Southwood allotments

Reported anonymously at 09:29, Tuesday 6 July 2021

The strip of shared land which runs along 85 Parkview Road which is owned by the council is overgrown and has not been cut for some time, probably owing to Covid restrictions. Numbers 85, 83, 81 and 79 that use the land adjoining the strip of council owned land for access are concerned that the vegetation on this land is having an adverse effect on the fence which separates private property from council land. A tree has fallen down in the last windy conditions. We have also noticed an increase in potential prospective property developers making enquiries as to the land for building purposes because it appears not to be maintained. There is also a potential for fly tipping if the vegetation grows more.
